Job Summary:

The Data Scientist is responsible for leveraging advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large and complex datasets, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, formulate analytical approaches, develop models, and deliver actionable insights. The Data Scientist should have a strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

  • Data Exploration and Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships using statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.

  • Model Development: Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to solve business problems and generate insights.

  • Feature Engineering: Perform feature selection and extraction to ensure the availability of relevant variables for model development and improve predictive accuracy.

  • Model Evaluation and Validation: Evaluate and validate models using appropriate evaluation metrics, ensuring robustness, generalization, and accuracy.

  • Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Preprocess and clean data, handle missing values, and address outliers to ensure data quality and reliability.

  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define business problems, frame analytical questions, and propose data-driven solutions.

  • Visualization and Reporting: Communicate complex findings and insights through clear and compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and analytics, explore new methodologies, tools, and techniques, and propose improvements to existing processes.

  • Experimentation and A/B Testing: Design and conduct experiments and A/B tests to evaluate the impact of proposed solutions, measure performance, and provide recommendations for optimization.

  • Ethical Considerations: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical guidelines when handling sensitive or personal data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.

  • Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).

  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms, such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and neural networks.

  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Tableau) to effectively communicate insights and findings.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate analytical approaches and translate business problems into data science solutions.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, or computer vision techniques.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and familiarity with deploying and scaling data science solutions in cloud environments.

  • Proficiency in using advanced analytics tools and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks).
